With the start of the season this weekend, it is also up to all clubs/island representatives’ side/MYGs to make sure all their captains/coaches/umpires and volunteers to get up to date with the important side of it. We need to make sure everyone is up to date with their paperwork. This includes safeguarding courses which can be taken below or on the England hockey website, welfare officers to at least hold level one, captains should have first aid and safeguarding as well as a up to date DBS along with anyone else who helps with under 18s training.
It is crucial these are up to date and everyone has the skills and knowledge to be able to deal with situations.
Should anyone wish to book a place, they can book using this link operated by Manx Sport & Recreation.
If you click into each course you will also be able to see further ahead dates if needed.
A brief reminder that coaches, officials and volunteers of a recognised GBS can access our IOM Sport Coach Education workshops for free this year using the following promo code (to be entered before check-out): GBSFREE
