The final men’s and ladies hockey team of the week is here as all leagues have now been concluded.

Goalkeeper – Zara Benham – Athena Healthcare Harlequins Ladies A

  • Between the sticks for the final game is Quins A’s Zara. She made a number of key saves including stopping a penalty flick in a 1-1 draw on Saturday.

Defender – Dave Gimbert – Canaccord Genuity Vikings Men’s B

  • Dave was named as player of the game in the fixture which secured promotion for his side. He controlled the game excellently from the back and put his body on the line on numerous occasions.

Defender – Neve McNaught – J. Qualtrough & Co Castletown Ladies C

  • Despite a narrow loss Neve was still crowned player of the game. Playing at the back she still grabbed herself a goal, her first in senior hockey.

Defender – Emily Kelly – Motorworx Valkyrs Ladies A

  • Another defender involved in goals for her team was Emily. She made some crucial tackles throughout and grabbed an assist on the way to a win for her team.

Midfielder – Mollie Dennett – Athena Healthcare Harlequins Ladies B

  • For the second straight week Mollie is included in the team of the week. Playing in the midfield she was strong both in attack and defence.

Midfielder – Summer Craig – Ramsey Crookall Bacchas Ladies A

  • Playing as a centre mid this week Summer was player of the game once again for Bacchas A. Throughout the season she has played all over the pitch and once again showed her skills this week.

Amelia Collister – Ramsey Ladies Ladies B

  • Although not on the scoresheet Amelia was named as player of the game in a big win for her side. She contributed to the game in a number of ways and was excellent throughout.

Midfielder – Eddie Caley – Canaccord Genuity Vikings Men’s A

  • Despite not coming away with the league title Vikings ended their campaign with a good win in which Eddie was named player of the game. Playing in the midfield he controlled play and shut down the opposition throughout.

Midfielder – Olly Brew – Ramsey Men’s A

  • Ramsey’s midfield dynamo, Olly was once again player of the game for the northerners. He was excellent throughout and was involved in everything good his side did in a huge win.

Forward – Archie Cox – J. Qualtrough & Co Castletown Men’s A

  • Archie scored a remarkable five goals this Saturday and was named as player of the game once again. He put in a complete perf for his side once again as a forward.

Forward – Donna Harrison – IOM Masters Ladies 

  • Although her side came away with a loss Donna was fantastic up top. She netted all three of her team’s goals and was named as player of the game.
