The Manx Hockey Association wishes the Northwest Talent Academy teams good luck in the upcoming event to be held at the Nottingham Hockey Centre from 29th to 31st July. There will be 24 girls’ and 24 boys’ teams competing, representing all of the England Hockey Talent Academies, as well as teams from Northern Ireland and Wales.
We are thrilled to announce that five young Manx players will be involved in the Northwest matches.
- Claire Mason (joint captain) – Bacchanalians HC
- Ela Blakemore – Harlequins HC
- Martha Broderick – Bacchanalians HC and Sedbergh School
- Archie Cox – Castletown HC
- Joseph Savage – Castletown HC
Squads have been selected following 9-10 months of training and practice matches against several other talent academies. The squads will be staying in University of Nottingham Halls of Residence so experience living with their coaches and teammates. This will give them opportunity to focus on the competition, prepare for matches together and reflect afterwards.
