We are thrilled to announce the commencement of planning for the 2024/25 IOM Age Group Squads season. Building on our recent successes, we are eager to continue our achievements in the upcoming English Hockey Junior Championships. Your commitment is crucial for our participation, and we invite you to join our open sessions and trials.
Open Sessions and Trials Schedule
Please Note:
- Registration: Pitch side at the NSC astro turf, no later than 15 minutes prior to your session.
- Preparation: Be ready (kitted) to warm up 10 minutes prior to your session.
- Attire: Wear your club/school playing shirt and socks.
- Required: Complete and bring the attached form to your first session.
- Fee: Pay £10.00 via SumUp at your first session to cover pitch hire costs (£5.00 for goalkeepers).
Pre-registration is mandatory for all players.

Commitment and Training Schedule
An example of last season’s training schedule is attached for reference. Please note the schedule will change for 2024/25. Training sessions are held outdoors at the NSC astroturf:
- Friday evenings: 7pm – 8:30pm
- Sunday afternoons: 3:30pm – 5pm
Training attendance at all relevant sessions is expected.
Fixtures:
- Minimum of two fixtures per team
- Travel options often dictate playing away
Fundraising and Costs
Squad members are expected to participate in fundraising activities (e.g., raffles).
Kit Costs:
- New players will need to purchase a Training Top, Playing Shirt, and Socks (approximately £55). Second-hand kit options will be available.
Travel Costs:
- Previous trips have cost approximately £60 to £120.
- Players are required to pay a £50 deposit towards travel costs, refundable at the end of the season.
Communications
Post-selection communication will be via a private Facebook group. Prompt responses to communications are essential.
Pre-Season
Please indicate your availability for the pre-season scheduled for the weekend of August 31st / September 1st in your initial registration email.
Code of Conduct
Selected players must sign a code of conduct. Non-compliance may result in removal from the squad.
Important Notice
Coaches will provide performance feedback during open sessions and trials but will not discuss selection decisions.
