Attention all Manx hockey enthusiasts and beginners!

We are excited to announce that the Summer Sixes is making a return this year, but with a twist! Instead of our traditional Wednesday evening games, we’re hosting the Summer Sixes as a series of one-day tournaments. Last year, we noticed teams were struggling with numbers towards the end, so we hope this new format will make it easier for everyone to participate and enjoy.

Here’s all you need to know about this year’s Summer Sixes:

Tournament Details:

Sunday, 7th July – Social Cup

Time: 11 AM – 3 PM
Location: NSC Astro
Cost: £60 per team

This day is all about having fun and introducing hockey to new players. It’s open to businesses, friends, and families who want to give hockey a go. Each team is limited to only two hockey players, so gather your colleagues and friends, and join us for a fun-filled day. Keep an eye on our social media for more updates. All players must be at least 13 years old.

Sunday, 21st July – U18s Tournament

Time: 11 AM – 3 PM
Location: NSC Astro
Cost: £50 per team

Open to players aged 13 and above, this tournament is a great opportunity for young players to showcase their skills and enjoy some competitive hockey.

Sunday, 11th August – Mixed Tournament

Time: 9 AM – 5 PM
Location: NSC Astro
Cost: £80 per team

This all-day event is perfect for mixed teams looking to compete in a lively and spirited environment. Start assembling your team and get ready for a fantastic day of hockey! All players must be at least 13 years old.

Important Information

All tournaments will proceed based on team entries. If we don’t receive enough entries for a specific tournament, we will unfortunately have to cancel that event.

Costs vary depending on the duration of the tournament and the age group, as pitch hire costs differ for each event. Please phone 477667 with any further questions.

How to Enter

To enter your team, please email manxhahdo@gmail.com as soon as possible with the following details:

  1. Team Name
  2. List of Players’ Names (For the Social Cup, please indicate if they are hockey players or non-players)
  3. Captain’s Contact Information (Email and Phone Number)
  4. Deputy Captain’s Contact Information (Email and Phone Number)
  5. Confirmation of the Tournament/Day you are entering
  6. Name of a Team Member (or additional person) who can umpire matches when not playing (They don’t need to be a qualified umpire, just have a good awareness of the rules)
