A busy week both on and off Island sees this edition of the MHA team of the week contain five players from the OAK Group U14 and U18 girls teams named in the squad.

Goalkeeper – Robyn Stones – OAK Group IOM U18 Girls

  • Playing in between the sticks for the Island U18 girls, Robyn was named as player of the game. Despite a loss for her side, she made a number of key saves throughout the game and kept her team in the fight.

Defender – Jasper Whalley – Ramsey Crookall Bacchas U15s

  • Jasper was named as player of the game in his side’s victory. Playing as a centre back, he read the game excellently and put in a number of key tackles.  

Defender – Megan Simpson – OAK Group IOM U18 Girls

  • Megan is the second player of the game from the Island U18 girls side in the squad this week. Playing at the back she stopped a number of opposition attacks and made some key tackles against a very tough side.

Defender – Tallulah Wilson – Swales Flooring Harlequins U15s

  • In a very tight game Tallulah played a superb game at the back for Quins. She commanded play and distributed the ball well and was unlucky not to come away with a win. 

Midfielder – Olly Brew – Ramsey Men’s A

  • Despite a loss Olly was fantastic for Ramsey A. A dynamo in midfield he controlled possession for his side and was the engine room for his side.  

Midfielder – Eva Moore – OAK Group IOM U14 Girls

  • Eva was named as player of the game by the opposition for her work in the Island’s U14 girls game. She was a thorn in the side of her opponents throughout the game.

Midfielder – Faith Watterson – OAK Group IOM U14 Girls

  • Faith is first of the coaches players of the game from the Island U14 girls game. She controlled play for her team in the middle of the park and made a number of key passes.

Midfielder – Harri Lewis – Motorworx Valkyrs Men’s C

  • In a big win for Valkyrs C Harri was named as the player of the game. He controlled the middle of the field and showed great distribution skills and was excellent when covering in defence.

Forward – Archie Cox – J. Qualtrough & Co Castletown Men’s A

  • Coming away on the right side of the scoreline in a very close win, Archie was the difference for his team. Netting the winning goal he was named as player of the game.

Forward – Rhea Maher – OAK Group IOM U14 Girls

  • Another coaches player of the game, Rhea was great for her team. She put in a great forwards performance and was unlucky not to bag herself a goal.

Forward – Sam Burrows – Canaccord Genuity Vikings Men’s B

  • A win for Vikings B saw Sam named as player of the game. He made some excellent off the ball runs and dragged the defence away creating space for his team in a great display of selfless hockey.
