Final Team of the Week for the 2025-26 League season – congratulations on all those appearing the team in this and previous weeks.
In the line up for this week is:
Harry Woods (Vikings Mens A) GK for his strong play throughout the match and making some crucial saves as Harlequins applied the pressure, keeping Vikings in the game at the end.
Morgan Braidwood (Vikings Ladies B) for a solid performance at the back, making several important tackles throughout the game and distributed the ball well to her midfielders.
Sophie Phythian (Castletown Ladies C) for a strong defensive performance and her good distribution creating attacking phases to get the ball forward to her teammates.
Adam Braidwood (Vikings Mens C) – for making numerous interceptions and tackles to stop promising Bacchas Colts attacks, along with some goal line clearances.
Charlie Valerga (Castletown Mens C) who maintained his position well and made a number of telling tackles, while distributing the ball decisively to team mates.
Oliver Brew (Ramsey Mens A) who was strong in the middle of the pitch making some key tackles and interceptions. High work rate and driving the team forward back on the attack.
Eve Martin (Valkyrs Ladies C) for a superb debut playing alongside big sister in midfield, creating a force to be reckoned with. Such skill and pace, another upcoming star for Valkyrs
Emma Whiting (Bacchas Ladies B) for her tireless running up front. She was a constant threat with great linking, positional play which was rewarded with two goals.
Evie Watterson (Castletown Ladies A) – who was brilliant in the middle as always, setting up a number of our goals and unlucky not to get one herself. She’s been amazing all season and is such an important player for her team.
Ross Grimley (Bacchas Colts) who used his pace and skill throughout the game to secure an outstanding hat trick beginning with a diving finish at the far post. Incredible work rate and commitment for the team.
Caleb Blakemore (Harlequins Mens A) who has been improving every week and creating lots of opportunities going forward with his creative play.
