It’s been a long road to the 2026 England Hockey Masters Over 45 Women’s Vase Final and this Isle of Man team has earned every step of it.
Their journey started back in October 2025 and has taken them through six tough rounds. In just their second year in the competition, they have gone one further than last season which ended at the semi-final stage. The squad with players from all clubs across the Island has grown together and shown they can compete.
Their journey has been challenging, with over 1400 miles covered and plenty of travel issues, the team have played some great hockey against some of the big club names, most notably their semifinal victory over the mighty Surbition, one of the top clubs in the country.
It now all comes down to the big England Hockey finals weekend in London, with titles being decided across all Senior and Master Championships over 3 days, a great occasion for the sport, and a brilliant opportunity for this team to finish their journey on a high and raise the profile of Manx Hockey.
The team play Sonning Hockey Club at 10am on Monday at Surbiton Hockey Centre.
