This Saturday, King William’s College will host the annual Deb Mark, Barbara Kniveton, and James Shimmin Memorial Tournament, bringing together eight teams of players aged 35 and over, including a mix of regular club members and those returning to the sport for the day.
The Manx Hockey Association is running the tournament with continued backing from Capital International Group. The company has sponsored the event for over three years and its ongoing support is very much appreciated.
A raffle will be held on the day as a fundraiser for Hospice Isle of Man. Players and teams are asked to remember to bring prize contributions with them on the day. All money raised from ticket sales goes directly to the charity.
The Daily Grind Food Truck will be on-site throughout the event to provide drinks and snacks.
It’s set to be a day of good hockey, catching up with old teammates and playing in memory of three well-known members of the hockey community.
