This week’s selection features a number of senior league debutants and a wealth of midfielders – well done to all those nominated by their teams.
Will Wiseman (Bacchas C) – not normally a goalkeeper and he was incredible standout player of the match. The opposition described him as being “like an acrobat stopping the best that Vikings had to offer”.
Aaron Bell (Ramsey A) – put in a great performance in defence, making some excellent tackles and producing strong attacking runs to help get Ramsey forward, covering D to D on occasions.
Jasper Whalley (Bacchas Colts) – solid at centre back and some top quality aerials to help his team move the ball down the pitch.
Euan Kinnish (Castletown Carrick) who shone in midfield, making strong forward passes and recovering the ball well for his team. An impressive debut.
Tom Evans (Vikings A) – dropped well back into CDM position and was a key voice needed to control the field and sweep up when required. Stepped up for short corners and found the back of the net, converting one near post and the other right and middle. Great to see him back on the pitch.
Eve Martin (Valkyrs Colts ) – made strong runs up the pitch with and without the ball to get in great positions and looked like a natural in the centre midfield position.
Amber Thomas (Harlequins D) – In her mixed senior debut, she played right midfield and partnered brilliant support for the forwards in attack with great baseline runs and crosses, while putting in key tackles to win back the ball.
Ryan Cadamy (Castletown Cosney) as centre mid, great running back, he was everywhere and was always there as an option for passes.
Elliot Henson (Harlequins B) was everywhere on the pitch and disrupting the oppositions play while distributing the ball well to help the forwards counterattack.
Dillan Pulman (Vikings E) – scored in his debut game and was very composed despite tough opposition. Incredible work rate, making great passes and getting back to defend. Had another great shot saved off the line by a defender
Josh Kaighin (Vikings B) – made the right runs at the right time and brought others into the attack moving the ball quickly. He was the focus for almost every attack Vikings made.
Thank you to Team Captains for their nominations.
