Well done to all those players nominated by their team captains, especially the Goal Keepers – there was a clutch of nominations but only had space for one in the team!
Bailey Campion (Castletown Southerners GK) – made some outstanding saves throughout the game and gave a commanding performance in the D, brilliant stuff from the young keeper in his first Premiership season.
Erin Fox (Bacchas Colts) – was our busiest defender at left back and made some great tackles to stop the opposition being through on goal. Showed great hockey maturity always being in the right place and coming out on top against players much older and more experienced than her, a performance to be proud of!
Jon Gower-Jackson (Valkyrs A) – was a dominant performance in defence and controlled the game from the back. Made some crucial tackles throughout the entire match
Samuel Higgins (Castletown Sharks U15s) – delivered a very busy but strong performance at the back, breaking down the Quins forward momentum. Great experience for stepping up to seniors.
Benji Barber (Harlequins U15) – played centre mid, listened to feedback at half time and putting advice into practice. Set up 3 goals in addition to the 3 he scored himself.
Alfie Melling (Ramsey 1s) excellent control and distribution of the ball in the middle of the pitch, scored a goal to get his team on equal footing at the end of the first half.
Amy Speed (Valkyrs B) – put in a huge a huge shift at left half. Driving the line, creating chances and dropping back to cover in defence.
Autumn Ryles (Ramsey Ravens) – cool, calm and skilful in midfield. Worked tirelessly to build play, pounced on opportunities to counterattack and reacted swiftly to turnover of play tracking back to assist defence when needed.
Ellis Wiseman (Bacchas U15) – mature controlled game – excellent distribution and setting up some great forward play from both midfield and when he dropped back to full back.
Jake Phair (Vikings B) – tireless running off the ball support his team mates whilst playing in 4 different positions during the match but played each one perfectly.
Kerri Cooke (Harlequins B) – was solid playing right inner and playing through the pain after getting injured before half time, always fighting for the ball throughout the whole game.
